Cute Spencer Story

This is just too cute and it deserves it's own post (at least I think it does). Whenever Spencer does something correctly, I always tell her "Good Girl!" Ya'll know how I have such a hard time keeping her diaper on, since she loves to take it off.

So today she's looking at me and she starts take it off again (like the 3rd time today) and she gives me this cute little grin. I'm giving her the stink eye, daring her too take it off. When it's down to her knees, she looks at me and pulls it up. Before I can say anything, she starts running around the house yelling "Good Girl!"

It was so funny, I got the hiccups from laughing so hard. She's growing up so fast!

Egg Blower

I have spent the better part of my free time today blowing out eggs. Doesn't that just sound gross? But I saw this super cute craft idea on Anne's blog, and I really wanted to try it out. It's probably going to take me a few more days to finish it all, so I'll post all the pictures when I'm done with the whole thing.


This weekend we're going to the PGP's house and spending Saturday night. They bought Spencer a play ground for Christmas and I think we are going to start putting it up this weekend! Yippee, energy burning apparatus right in the backyard!


I think my Spring Cleaning "activity" for Sunday will be re-lining my chest of drawers with this new liner I got for Christmas. Okay, so it's not exactly new anymore, but so what!? It's a brown suede drawer liner that I got from the Container Store. Speaking of which, I love that store! It makes me want to organize my entire life.

Some Girl Time

Election night, 2000. Obviously during my more questionable days, haha. 

Yes, I know I have already posted this picture before, but it's one of my favorites of me and Beth. Beth was my college roommate freshman and sophomore year and the only reason it didn't go on longer was she spent a year in Bath, England and then there were some Res. Life issues when she got back.

This weekend Beth came down to Richmond for the Monument 10k, which she ran in a super fast time- 53 minutes! After the race, she and I took my babe for lunch and had a grand old time catching up. Nothing restores my soul like some much needed girl time! I think we started to annoy the waitress at Applebees (try the Oriental Chicken Wrap, it's delish) because we stayed too long.
Here are some more of us throughout the years- a couple are in Portland, Oregon- here hometown- from when I went out to visit her for her birthday.

This was right after I had Spencer and a bunch of my besties from school came down to visit us for the day. Spencer was two weeks old and I was very frazzled!

I Don't Get It

Not to sound cocky or braggy, but I was blessed with smarts- book smarts that is, NOT street smarts. I'm always the last person to get the joke and I rarely know when people are kidding and that's why I don't like April Fools Day.

Granted, it's gotten a lot better since getting out of high school and college, but I'm still fooled by every joke and every "Gotchya!" Okay, so AFD rant over!

Yesterday we had Spencer's Easter pictures taken. Oh, they were SO cute and they did such a good job with her. Commonwealth Photography has taken her pictures since she was a wee little one and I just love them! Yesterday they had REAL bunnies for the pictures.

Of course Spencer was entertained by these two little scurrying creatures and they got some adorable pictures of the bunnies running away from her as she chased them. Then comes the dreaded part of having to narrow it down to just a few, I hate that part. I can't wait to show ya'll the pictures when we get them back. But just in case you can't wait- here's a few CP posted, check them out when you get a chance!

In other Katie news, I've been ridiculously tired these last few days. I don't know why, I haven't done anything too out of the ordinary. Last night I went to bed at 9pm and I was still exhausted when Spencer woke me up this morning. Maybe I need to take a vitamin or something? I usually avoid them because they do funky things to my stomach, but I'm thinking it's time.
