And It Was All Yellow

Some people think Spring looks like this:

And that's what Spring looked like last week.  Meet Spring now:

What is that you ask?  That would be POLLEN that has accumulated in the water runoff.  There is pollen everywhere and covering everything.  You can actually see it falling from the sky and swirling around in the air. I have to hold my breath each time I go outside because I feel myself inhaling the yellow dust if I breathe.  When I walked inside from getting the mail, my clothes were covered with pollen.

And do you know what  happens when you have excessive, record breaking amounts of pollen?  This:

You get a boat load of swarming bees.

"They" say this is what happens when you have 90 degree weather in April.  I'm already getting a bad feeling about the weather this summer.

I know what you mean! I love hanging clothes on the line to dry, but not until the pollen goes away. Otherwise, I'd have to wash the clothes all over again.

Ew, that's what it looks like in Atlanta, too. The stuff was flying off my car like a dusting of snow!! No wonder my friends and I all have headaches ...

Oh I remember that when I lived in ATL. Not fun. Sorry :( Pray for a little more rain to wash it away!

WOW!!! I've never seen anything like that!

Today is in the low 60's here. "They" say we got 30% of this years snowfall in the last week. It's finally feeling a little like Spring in the Rocky Mountains. Here's hoping you don't have terrible pollen allergies!

Aside from craptastic bees you also get red puffy eyes and a stuffy nose. I feel like I'm hungover without the fun of drinking. I hate yellow.

Just when I thought I was done with the shoveling, now I'm scraping pollen off the car and the house and my shoes... Luckily, no allergy backlash -- yet.

I know, it's the same here. Worst pollen in 25 years! I can't stop coughing, sneezing and crying! We will survive though :)
